ATLANTA, GEORGIA (MONDAY, JANUARY 26, 2004) - - ZR Motorsports, BG Motorsports, and Battle Builders officially announced today that rising star Peter Petropoulos will race in a limited ASA schedule this season, with every effort for Peter to run for rookie-of-the-year in ASA for 2005 and the #28 Battle Builders Chevy Monte Carlo at tracks around the Southeast as well.

Peter Petropoulos is expected to run in at least 6-8 American Speed Association (ASA) national tour events starting May 1, 2004 at Peter's home track Lanier National Speedway. The team is also looking at Kentucky Speedway, Lowe's Motor Speedway, and Atlanta Motor Speedway as starting events to compete in for the Georgia driver.

Petropoulos, who is well known as a late model driver at Lanier National Speedway in Gainesville, GA where he drove the last two seasons for car owner Guy Battle, a well known businessman who owns Battle Painting & Drywall and Battle Builders, will continue to drive the #28 Battle Builders Chevy Monte Carlo around the Southeast.

"I'm very lucky," said Petropoulos. "I feel this is the right step forward in my racing career, there is a tremendous amount of talent in ASA, and I feel these series will only help my maturity level as a driver and prepare me to focus on my goals and winning spirit."

The BG Motorsports team has not announced their primary sponsors for the ASA National Touring Series or car number, however the team is planning to release those details of their 2004 season in the coming weeks .

Petropoulos will also bring his "Winners Don't Use Drugs" campaign to the tour this season, with all hopes of keeping future racing stars and the fans away from drugs and their minds on the message "Winners Don't Use Drugs".
