Paducah, KY- Inspired by the memory of a 2 fallen racing heroes, Terry English of Benton, KY won the 2nd Annual UMP-sanctioned "Terry Egner/Wayne Coakley Memorial" Saturday evening at Paducah International Raceway. English won the inaugural event at PIR last year, and swept the evenings' activities. English set fast time, won his heat, and held off Vincennes.,IN hotshoe Kevin Claycomb to win his second consecutive "Egner/ Coakley" Memorial. The win was worth $2,000 to English. Egner was a crew member and friend to English who was killed in 1997 during a racing program at Barren County Raceway. English and crew celebrated the win by dedicating the race to the memory of Egner and Coakley. Jeff Cone continued his recent domination in the UMP Modified ranks, defeating fast qualifier Matt Mevert. Phil Walker won the Pro Stock feature, while Rowdy Burris won the Street Stock feature. Jimmy Victory won his 2nd Classic Coupe feature of the year, while Jimmy Butler won over a 20-car Cruiser field. Paducah International Raceway
