Race #4 at New Smyrna Speedway
SAMSULA, FLORIDA - FASCAR Late Model point leader Jason Boyd of Orlando, FL will be pursuing his third win during a FASCAR Goodyear Challenge Late Model Series 100 race on Saturday night at New Smyrna Speedway.
Boyd has won two of three Goodyear Challenge races at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, FL and lost race two at Orlando Speedworld in Bithlo, FL following an untimely wreck in the opening lap.
The Chevrolet driving point leader set fast time in all three events this season. The top five drivers only separated by a mere 39 points in the FASCAR Goodyear Challenge Late Model point standings are all in the hunt.
Mike Hovis of Ft. Myers, FL in a Chevrolet trails the leading Boyd by just five points and will be hot on his trail. Jerry Symons of New Smyrna Beach, FL will be closely watching these top two drivers and trails the leading Boyd by 18 marks.
Fourth place point runner Larry Osteen of Clermont, FL has 226 points and Wayne Morris of Mulberry, FL is fifth with 210 marks.
Front gates open at 6 p.m. and qualifying will also be at 6 p.m.
Ticket prices are $15 at front gate and the pit area is $20.
Racing is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start.
