ASA MIDWEST TOUR PREPARES FOR MIS DEBUT THIS FRIDAY NIGHT!!!

Monday, July 16, 2007 (Daytona Beach, FL) -- History will be made at Wisconsin's Fastest Half-Mile Oval this Friday night. The ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by Echo Outdoor Power Equipment will make its debut at Madison International Speedway on Friday, July 20th for the Echo Chainsaw/Five Star Race Car Bodies No Bull 100 presented by Briggs and Stratton and Jon Lancaster Toyota.

The MIS event will be the ninth of 12 events for the inaugural season, and the fourth event of its Summer Shootout Series. Along with the ASA Touring Stars, NASCAR drivers Kyle Busch and Johnny Sauter will be competing along with former MIS track champions Dick Trickle and Rich Bickle Jr.

"Madison has more history than most tracks in the country because of the famous people that have raced there," Steve Einhaus, ASAMT Vice President/Event Director recently stated. "Everyone loves MIS and I am looking forward to bringing the local fans the most professional and toughest super late model series in the country."

So far the series has seen seven different winners in eight events this season.

As the Series approaches its ninth event, Einhaus is satisfied with the progress, "We feel that our success so far this year has gone full circle," Einhaus stated. "We have spent countless hours and a lot of money to promote our events to make them successful. Each and every race we have had this year has been very solid with great car counts and super crowds. Super Late Models are a treat to the fans and when you can make an "event" out of it they really have fun. We work very hard to get our sponsors the recognition that they deserve and they have really been sharing their enjoyment with us and their fellow fans."

For Einhaus, who served as the MIS track promoter from 2005-06, this event has a personal special meaning, "I have a soft spot in me for MIS because of Terry Kunes (owner of Madison International Speedway) giving me the opportunities he did."

Advance tickets are on sale now at the Series official website at www.asamidwesttour.com by selecting the "Click N Print" logo. Fans will save money by purchasing tickets in advance. "Click N Print" will also pick five (5) random fans and a guest who have purchased advanced tickets and will automatically upgrade them to the Briggs and Stratton VIP area on race day.

Practice will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday with qualifying scheduled for 4:00 p.m. An on-track autograph session will begin at 5:45 p.m. featuring music from "Primitive Culture." The racing action will begin at 7:00 p.m. The INEX Legends and the MIS Limited Late Model division will also be racing on Friday night.

Madison International Speedway is located about 15 miles south of Madison off of Hwy. 138 on Sunrise Road between Oregon and Stoughton. The track's website is www.madisoninternationalspeedway.com.
