Butch Miller wins 49th career ASA event at Madison

Oregon, Wis. (July 18, 2003) -- Three-time ASA Champion Butch Miller won the BFGoodrich Tires 250 at Madison International Speedway, the 10th event of the 2003 ASA Racing Series season. Miller of Coopersville, Mich., inherited the first position on a lap 237 restart, when Robbie Pyle's No. 63 CITGO Chevrolet lost power. This is the third victory of the 2003 season for Miller in the Timber Wolf/Express Convenience Stories Chevrolet.

Current point's leader Kevin Cywinski of Wisconsin finished in second spot with Toby Porter in the Meijer Chevrolet finishing third. Second-year driver Todd Kluever finished fourth with $50,000 Rookie Candidate Davin Scites in fifth spot. 1995 ASA Champion Bryan Reffner grabbed sixth-place honors with Travis Kittleson, Chad Wood, Boris Jurkovic and Greg Stewart filling out the top-10 finishers.

Drivers from the Badger State that competed in the BFGoodrich Tires 250 included Cywinski of Wausau in second, Kluever of Sun Prairie in fourth, Reffner of Stevens Point in sixth, Wood of Madison in eighth, Andrew Morrissey of DeForest in 17th, Rich Loch of Muskego in 18th, Chris Wimmer of Wausau in 21st, David Klein of Madison in 23rd and Rich Bickle of Edgerton in 33rd.
