Go Go Motorsports has announced that Meijer Stores will serve as the team's primary sponsor for the 2001 ASA Racing season. Associate sponsors will include Meijer business partners, Edy's Grand Ice Cream, Tony's Pizza and Kellogg's.

Meijer Inc., a chain of combination grocery and general merchandise stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois, has become a recognizable sponsor in ASA over the past several seasons after sponsoring events in Michigan and other ASA teams.

"I'm thrilled to be back with ASA for another season," says Go Go Motorsports owner Ron Daniels. "With Meijer and its partners, we're ready to carry the names of these quality products and do our best to further their already great reputations."

The number 11 Go Go Pontiac Grand Prix entry will be driven by Michigan native Tristan Dupuis for a third consecutive season. The 37-year-old veteran finished runner-up in the 1999 final rookie points and was 15th in the final 2000 points standings. Last season, he also won the Miller Lite 300 on Labor Day at the Minnesota State Fair Speedway.

"We have a renewed relationship with Meijer and tacking on Kellogg's and Tony's Pizza, I'm very optimistic about our season," said Dupuis. "I'm proud to be working for such a great company and I'm expecting a lot of good things in 2001."
