ISMA To Be Represented at World of Wheels in Boston Jan 7-9 By Lane Team
Boston, MA - Billed as the premiere custom car show series in North America, World of Wheels, Autorama and Cavalcade of Customs are public events for automotive enthusiasts featuring vendors and the hottest vehicles in the country and they are a must-see for fans. ISMA, the winged traveling supermodified organization, will this year be represented at the Boston World of Wheels on January 7-9, 2005 by Howie Lane's number 97 and number 9 team. Adding a supermodified to the already exciting list of entrants, Lane will be showcasing not only the potent winged race cars of ISMA, but also their major 2005 sponsors Helping Hands of America and Lucas Oil.
Lane's supermodified team was piloted by young driving sensations Bobby Santos III and Kyle Carpenter among others in 2005. The team finished in the top 15 of the competitive ISMA point standings with Santos garnering a sensational feature win at the Oswego Super Nationals in September. Car owner Howie Lane of Essex, Mass., is also the current president of the ISMA organization which begins their 2005 season at a new venue, Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT. Mike Jerret of Waltham-based Helping Hands of America will certainly be on hand during the weekend helping Lane explain the exciting aspects of ISMA racing.
The three-day World of Wheels show will take place at the Bayside Expo Center, 200 Mount Vernon, in Boston on January 7 -- 9. Besides the Lane team, there will be many groups on hand from various automotive show and racing venues. In addition, according to the official website, a long list of special guests will be in attendance throughout the 3-day show including Bo Hopkins and Candy Clark from "American Graffiti", WWE Superstar John Cena, feature models Jennifer England and Heather Tindell, Courtney Hansen from TV's "Overhaulin', Rupert -- American's favorite "survivor", and Patriot's linebacker Rosevelt Colvin. There will also be exhibitions of the BMX Extreme Stunt Shows during the three days of the show.
