(April 25) Spectators are invited to attend the Speedway 95 open practice session featuring racers from the International Pro Stock Challenge (IPSC)on Saturday, April 29th from 10 am to 5 pm. Grandstand admission will be FREE. Teams in attendance will be accomplishing two things. This will be the first trip to the track for many after spending many long hours over the winter months preparing race cars for the upcoming season.

A 'shake down' session is critical to make sure everything is tight before taking the cars into a full-fledged, full-speed practice session.

And practice at the 1/3-mile ovalÿ20 located on the west side of Bangor (Maine) is critical as the touring series makes their first stop there on May 21st - the second of 11 events slated for 2000.

"If the weather is with us, we should have a good turnout for the practice," said Randy Black, IPSC Competition Director. "Everyone is getting stÿr crazy after the winter and we're all ready to go racing."

"With this being our first IPSC show at Speedway 95, many of our teams have either never been there or haven'0t been there for a while. They'll want to get as many laps under their belt as they can before race day rolls around."

Also on hand for the April 29th practice session will be the Speedway 95 weekly racing divisions. Speedway 95 is located west of Bangor (Maine), just off I 95 at exit 44 (Cold Brook Road). Go northwest 3/10-mile on Cold Brook Road to Odlin Road, then north 7/10-mile. Advance tickets will be available May 1st.
