New Albany, Indiana's Jerry Whitten is home again following a devastating full-throttle crash at Indianapolis Speedrome Sunday afternoon. Whitten had been practicing his newly acquired late model figure-8 car when the throttle apparently stuck full open. The car hit the Seedrome concrete wall at approximately 50 mph briefly knoking Whitten unconscious. Whitten was transported to Indianapolis' Wishard Hospital and released at 9:30PM the same evening. Whitten expects to be back in a racecar in 4-5 weeks.
