Action continues at the Indianapolis Speedrome on Saturday night with the 22nd Annual Sonny Thompson Memorial 122-lap Figure 8 for late models. Bruce Tunny won the last two classic races. Mike St. John won more Sonny Thompson Memorials than any other driver with victories in 1982, 1983, 1986, 1990, 1992 and 1993. Thompson, an 11-time champion, was the first inductee into the Speedrome Hall of Fame.

On Saturday, Kenny Sizemore joins Thompson in the Hall of Fame. Sizemore began racing in 1976 in the Stock class, switching to Late Models in 1978. From 1986 until 1990 Sizemore finished in the top 10 in points five times. From 1992 to 1994, he put together three consecutive eight place finishes in the point standings. Sizemore retired following a 2000 accident, but the tradition continues with his son, Rodney, and daughter, Cynthia. Another son, Darren, raced from 1988 until 1999.
