The busiest track in America prepares for it's biggest opening day ever. With over 200 cars in 9 classes already accounted for and more to come the pits at the Speedrome will be packed to overflowing. This Sunday the regular season kicks off racing for four of the Speedrome's weekly classes. The top of the line Bryant 76 Late Models headline with a full oval program capped by a fifty-lap figure-8. The return of past champions Bruce Tunny, Bobby Douthitt, Jack Dossey Jr., Rodney Sizemore, Mike St. John and Wayne Arnold makes for one of the most star-studded fields ever. Throw in past winners Bill Tunny Jr., George Sutton, Curtis McMurtrey, Kenny Stewart, Steve Frost, Jeff Hizer, Doug Greig and R.J. Norton and you've got a volatile mix of men and machines. Chuck's Race Car Parts Stock Class is in the midst of it's best season ever with 51 cars already registered. They been steaming through a full oval program capped by a 25-lap oval. 77 cars have shown so far for the Sunshine Cafe Roadrunner division. That could well spells excitement as the steamin' screamin' demons of the fifth-mile oval take to the track. Look for three features to give everyone a chance to race. The afternoon is rounded out by the fledgeling Bomber Figure-8 cars with rookies Ken Casto, Chris Snapp and David Fox making their figure-8 debuts. Pit gates open at 11:00AM - - Grandstands at Noon - - Qualifications are at 1:00 - -First race promptly at 2:00
