Duty Wins Pacific Coast Xtreme DirtCar Series Race at Madras Speedway

MADRAS, Ore. (April 24, 2004) -- Defending series champion John Duty dominated the Pacific Coast Xtreme DirtCar Series race at Madras Speedway, winning his first race of the young 2004 season.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for all Xtreme DirtCar series. The Pacific Coast Xtreme DirtCar Series races exclusively on Goodyear's X-400 tread compound.

Duty won everything in sight at Madras. He recorded the best time in qualifying with a lap of 15.81 seconds (56.925 mph) around the quarter-mile clay oval and won the Goodyear Gemini Auto Centers Award.

Jason Wines finished second in the race and Greg Walters took third. Jeremy Shank, who finished the night with the lead in the championship standings, took fourth and Mike Miller finished fifth.

The event was the second race of the season for the series and it attracted 32 entrants.

Shank has 346 points after two races. Miller is next with 318.
