DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., (Dec. 11, 2003) -- The IPOWERacing DASH Series (International Participants of Winning Edge Racing) returns to the "World Center of Racing" -- Daytona International Speedway -- for the 26th straight year on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004. The 2004 season-opening event will be named the IPOWERacing 150.

The 2004 season will mark the 30th year of competition for the DASH Series and the first year under the new ownership. Buck Parker and Randy Claypoole, both of Daytona Beach, Fla., took over ownership of the DASH Series following the last race of the 2003 season.

"We are thrilled to be hosting the IPOWERacing DASH Series for the 26th straight year as well as working with the new ownership group," said Speedway President Robin Braig. "The DASH Series provides exciting racing and is the perfect compliment to our Bud Pole Qualifying day."

"Daytona is our home track," said Randy Claypoole, Executive Vice President of IPOWERacing. "We are ecstatic that we are able to continue the tradition of beginning our season at the World Center of Racing."

The series will unveil a new look at Daytona. Instead of car numbers, high-definition graphics, paint schemes and car names will identify the fast machines.

"We want to give the car a personality," says IPOWERacing CEO Buck Parker. "For years drivers have named their cars and with the scoring technology that we have now numbers are less significant. This gives us a chance to do something different to attract the younger fans."

The 60-lap, 150-mile IPOWERacing 150 can be seen on the SPEED Channel and will run immediately following Bud Pole Qualifying for the "Great American Race" - the Daytona 500.

Tickets for IPOWERacing 150 and other Speedweeks 2004 events are available on-line at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com or by calling
