RICH SEGVICH TO COMPETE FOR ROOKIE OF THE YEAR HONORS WITH THE CRA SUPER SERIES

Salem, IN (February 3, 2006) -- Michigan City, Indiana driver Rich Segvich has announced his intentions to compete with the CRA Super Series full time in 2006 and will make a run for Rookie Of The Year honors. Segvich has competed in selected CRA Super Series events off and on since the series first season in 1997. This will be his first ever attempt try and compete an entire season and for Rookie Of The Year Honors.

Segvich has been racing since he was 12 years old and has been competing in a late model since 1990. Segvich started racing a late model at South Bend Motor Speedway and at Plymouth Speedway. Segvich has competed in both Outlaw and Template late models over the years at several area tracks and with the CRA Super Series and the ASA Late Models. Segvich has won over 200 races, raced in 10 different states and has won three track championships.

"I always had a lot of fun when ever I raced with the CRA Super Series, even back when it was the Kendall Indiana Late Model Series and the Sunoco Super Series," remarked Segvich. "I have had a great relationship with both R.J. and Glenn, they even helped me propose to my wife Michelle during the driver introductions for the Car Brite 200 at Winchester Speedway in 2002. I finished 24th in that race, but she said yes and we've been happily married every since.

Segvich will use his traditional number 91 and will compete in Port City and Brian Ross Chassis's. His Chevrolets will have power from both Hamner Racing Engines and Rhyne Racing Engines and sponsor help from Nicholas Machine owned by Dave Nicholas and Allstar Performance Parts. Segvich is still seeking additional sponsor help so he can compete the entire season. The rest of the Highside Racing team will consist of Bubba Rodgers, Jake Segvich, Michelle Segvich, Brandon Howard, Big Jim Butts and Steve Fenton. Segvich will also compete at Illiana Motor Speedway on weekends when the CRA Super Series is off.
