Chris Fontaine rolled out his new Port City Late Model race car for the AACS 125 race at Desoto Speedway on June 14, and rolled in another top ten finish with eighth place.

The finish raises Chris' 2003 record to 8 top 10's and 4 top fives out of 19 races.

Chris qualified the #47 sixth fastest, but the roll of the die inverted the top rows to start him eighth.

>From the green flag, Chris was on the charge, working his way up to fourth before the #32 spun him in turn four.

The officials sent Chris to the back in 20th position for the restart.

Chris continued his charge to the front through the remainder of the race, passing 12 cars before the finish.

Of his new race car Chris said,"I really like it, it has a good stable feeling, and I look forward to putting it up front. With the combination of a new crew, new car and new engine, I look forward to improving on an already improved season."

"We expect to be a contender from now on out, representing Advance Auto Parts in winning fashion," Chris said.

The Chris Fontaine Racing team is putting a new Dan O'Connell race engine in the car in preparation for the Florida State Late Model Championship race at Lakeland this weekend, June 21.
