Thomasville, NC ( Feb. 6 ) Ricky Bryant, Washington Apples ASA driver, knows you can't say the long wait for the new season is almost over, because it seems like the 2000 season just ended. In fact when the green flag falls for the ASA Racing.Com 300 on February 17th, at Florida Speedpark in St. Augustine, Florida, it will have only been a mere 16 weeks since the checkered flag fell on the 2000 season and Bryant's Goody's Dash career. Nevertheless Bryant, and his BG Motorsports team, feels they will be ready for their new life in the ASA AC Delco Series. Ricky, fresh off a 2 day test in Florida, felt confident in spite of a blown motor on his 2nd day. " We accomplished a lot in 2 days, even though we did not get to test the car I wanted to race at St. Augustine. Unfortunately a motor went away early on the 2nd day and we had to switch to a backup car. I've raced at both tracks we tested at last week( St. Augustine, Fl. & Lakeland, Fl. ) so I think we are going to be fine. I'm anxious to get going and see what this Washington Apples team can accomplish this year!"
