A second Dismore set to compete in ASA series at IRP

SUSSEX, Wis. - Randy Herzog, co-owner of Herzog Motorsports, has announced Indy Racing Northern Lights Series competitor Mark Dismore as a Herzog Motorsports driver for the upcoming event at the Indianapolis Raceway Park on September 23.

Dismore's 20-year-old son, Mark, currently competes in the ASA ACDelco Series, driving the No. 44 Monster.com/WorldBestBuy.com Chevrolet also fielded by Herzog Motorsports.

The elder Dismore, 43, is excited to be competing in the ASA ACDelco Series for the first time, and especially against his son. "I'm really looking forward to the race," Dismore said. "I've never raced an ASA car before and I think the toughest part of the weekend will be making the race. This series is really tough. It's probably unrealistic to think I can win the race, but you have to go in with the mindset that you're going to win."

The two Dismores will be competing against each other for the first time, when they battle head to head at the .686-mile oval in Clermont, Ind. "I hope he finishes right behind me," the senior Dismore said, referring to "Little Mark." "With the experience he's gained from being in the series all year, he should fair better than me, but I look forward to giving him a good run."

The Herzog Motorsports team, consisting of the two Dismores and Ricky Johnson, recently tested at IRP, in preparation for the ASA 200. "It's going to be fun to work with "Little Mark," Howie (Lettow, general manager for Herzog Motorsports) and Ricky," the senior Dismore commented. "It would be nice to see one of us get the win. It would be pretty exciting if I could do it, but I would settle for any of us."

Dismore, a Greenfield, Ind. resident, will drive the No. 43 Herzog Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Monte Carlo sponsored by Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems, an associate sponsor on his IRNLS car. Dismore currently sits fourth in the Indy Racing Northern Light Series' point standings, with one race remaining on their schedule.

The Herzogs are equally excited about "Big Mark" joining the team, for at least one event. "When Mark approached us about the possibility of running him in an ASA event, we welcomed the opportunity," said Randy Herzog. "We are delighted to have Mark and Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems come on board for Indianapolis and I'm sure it will be a great race. It's going to be a treat for everyone to see the Dismores battle each other in their hometown."

Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems, a national brand of heating and cooling equipment, has been making North America comfortable since 1904. Through the years, Bryant has established and maintained a reputation for delivering top-quality, energy-efficient home comfort equipment. Offering high-quality products that meet varied and changing needs has been the key to that tradition of success.

Herzog Motorsports is a successful, championship-winning race team. Based in Los Angeles, Calif.; St. Joseph, Mo.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Milwaukee, Wis., Herzog Motorsports regularly fields two teams in the 2000 ASA ACDelco Series with backing from Nationwide Auction Systems and Monster.com.
