Team MAXIM's Jac Haudenschild and Bud Kaeding took Oval Nationals preliminary feature wins at Perris Auto Speedway last Thursday and Friday.

Haudenschild, winner of Eldora Speedway's Million event earlier this season, took the opening round of the Oval Nationals Thursday with the Woodward MAXIM. Haudenschild led Bud Kaeding under the checkered flag to score the victory.

Kaeding opened up night two at Perris by setting fast time with his BK Motorsports MAXIM, then led laps 12 through 25 to earn the win from sixth starting spot. Kaeding's father Brent cruised from 17th starting spot with his MAXIM to score third at the checkered.

By virtue of his podium finish in Sunday's 50 lap finale at Perris, Bud Kaeding earned the 2003 Non Winged World Championship. Kaeding pocketed an additional $16,000 for the NWWC title. Kaeding utilized a standard 87/40 MAXIM in his quest for the NWWC title.

Max Dumesny won the main event in Round One of the 2003/2004 World Series Sprintcars Championship at Brisbane International Speedway on November 15. Dumesny pilots the Valvoline/GKR Transport Maxim, and also leads the World Series points over MAXIM drivers Brooke Tatnell and Andrew Scheuerle.

Mike Lutz collected over $9400 Saturday at the Empire Super Sprints banquet. Lutz drove the Mike and Deb VanDusen MAXIM to the 2003 ESS point championship.
