The Craft Disbury Racing team are all fired up for the third round of the World Series Sprintcars Championship to be held at Adelaide's Speedway City this Saturday night.
After spending the week rebuilding a car last week only to have the Wagga round of the Championship rained out the team are fired up to gain many valuable points towards the Championship given their disappointing finish in the opening round.
Entering this weekend's round the two drivers, Brad Heywood and Jason Johnson are placed 14th and 17th respectively in the points.
"To say we are disappointed at how things ended up in Queensland is an understatement but I can say that we were happy with the speed shown by both cars and we will be looking for a good result this weekend," says Heywood.
Johnson who is fresh off a sensational drive at last weekend's Wayville Speedway International showed great speed on debut at Speedway City and will once again be a front runner this weekend. "Last week the guys worked so hard to get everything perfect, only for Wagga to get washed out. Then we headed to Wayville as we really wanted to get a run in and that was a lot of fun."
"Last time out at Speedway City we had one of the fastest cars out there and hopefully we can be the first to the chequered flag this weekend. I can tell you on thing for sure I wont be getting up before the sun like last weekend to get to the racetrack, getting up that early gives you bad luck."
Craft Disbury Racing would also like to welcome David Dixon from Dixon Sands as a corporate partner of the team. Based in New South Wales the Dixon Sands logo will adorn both Aussiefast Transport/STP Sprintcars throughout the remainder of the Championship.
With this round being the closest to the South Australian base of the team there will be a band of supporters who will be in attendance this weekend including the General Manager of Aussiefast Transport Solutions, Mark Batson, GT Bobcat's Garry and Tracey Douglas and Gotta Getta Gutter's Sean and Deb Disbury.
The third round of World Series Sprintcars will be live on www.sprintcarworld.com.au from 6:00pm Central Daylight Saving Time with live audio and results.
