National Sprint Car Poll Announces 360, 410 & Non-Winged Sprint Nominees
KNOXVILLE, IOWA (NOV. 9, 2001) - The nominees for the National Sprint Car Poll's post-season awards, which will be presented at a Thursday evening, November 29th, reception at the Westin in Indianapolis, were announced this week for the 360-, 410-cubic-inch and non-winged sprint car divisions. Headlining the list are "Outstanding Contribution to the Sport Award" nominees Dave Argabright of National Speed Sport News (NSSN), Emmett Hahn of American Sprint Car Series (ASCS), Dick Jordan of United States Auto Club (USAC) and Ken Wagner of Wagtimes.
The National Non-Winged Sprint Car Poll post-season award nominees are:
Builder/Manufacturer - Larry Brown (TCR), Marc Dailey (Stealth), Bob East (Beast), Richard Harvey (Stinger).
Media Member - Dave Argabright (NSSN), Kevin Eckert (FlatOut Illustrated), Randy Jones (photographer).

It should be noted that the "Driver of the Year" awards and the "Wild Car Award" for each division will also be presented on November 29 at the free social reception at the Westin, which is being held after the first day of the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show. Danny Wood (410), Tony Norem (360) and Dickie Gaines (Non-Winged) have already been announced as the "Wild Card Award" recipients for their exciting sprint car performances in 2001.
In addition, those selected to be inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in 2002 will be announced during the 6 - 9 p.m. casual reception. The successful Knoxville International Driver Development (KIDD) program applicant/recipient will also be identified on that evening.
