Lance Dewease won the 25-lap sprint car feature and Craig von Dohren scored a $3000 victory in the small block modified main event Sunday afternoon at Williams Grove Speedway.

Todd Hestor beat Dewease into the first corner and set the pace for the first nine laps with Dewease running second and waiting for the leader to make a mistake. It came when Hestor slipped ever so slightly exiting the fourth corner on the tenth lap. Dewease drove by on the front stretch and went on to score the $3000 triumph.

The win was the 43rd of Dewease's career at Williams Grove and tied him with Lynn Paxton for third place on the speedway's list of all-time sprint car winners. Dewease also took over the point lead in the race for the Cindy Rowe Auto Glass track championship.

Don Kreitz and Fred Rahmer, who had been running 1-2 in the point race, got together on the 8th lap in turn four causing Kreitz to flip. Rahmer was able to restart, but tangled with Curt Michael in the same spot with two laps remaining and also flipped.

Hestor held on to finish second and Sean Michael was third after starting seventh. Cris Eash and Chris Knopp completed the top five. Sprint heats went to Dewease, Keith Kauffman and Brooke Weibley. C. Michael won the consy.

Craig Whitmoyer led the first half of the modified feature before von Dohren, who started third, moved in front to stay. Heats for the 52 modifieds were won by von Dohren, Keith Hoffman, Rick Schaffer and Kenny Brightbill. Scott Davis and Terry Meitzler won the consolation races.

Modified feature finish: von Dohren, Smokey Warren, MeMe DeSantis, K. Hoffman, Doug Hoffman, Jeff Strunk, Schaffer, Ray Swinehart, Duane Howard, Billy Pauch, Kyle Strickler, Terry Meitzler, Scott Davis, Randy Bailey, Whitmoyer, Sam Wescott, Scott Albert, Kevin Hirthler, Keith Brightbill, Ken Gilmore, Kenny Brightbill, Doug Pennepacker, Dave Gerhart, Jon Kellner.
