WESMAR Racing Engines powered Sammy Swindell to a sweep of the opening weekend of Sprint Bandits competition at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas March 19-20, 2004.

Swindell drove the WESMAR-powered spec head Beaver Drill and Tool Machine entry to victory in Friday's 25-lap preliminary, then led all 30 laps of Saturday's finale to earn $8,500 for the 31st Annual Sprint Nationals win.

In addition to Swindell, front runners Shane Stewart, Wayne Johnson, and Terry McCarl utilized WESMAR horsepower to provide four of the top six finishing positions. Stewart (2nd) used a sleeved configuration with his Ol' Glory entry, Johnson (5th) blew the cobwebs out of a nine year old -12 WESMAR, and McCarl (6th) ran with a spec-headed WESMAR in his Country Builders/Big Game Hunting entry.
