Exciting racing action resumes this Sunday at Utica-Rome Speedway.

VERNON, NY- Racing action will continue this Sunday at Utica-Rome Speedway when Crossroads Community Church presents a regular show of DIRT 358-Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks, and Pure Stocks. The Central New York Mini Sprints also make their first appearance of the 2003 season.

Matt Sheppard will continue to attempt to defend his track championship from drivers such as Mitch Gibbs, Ryan Baye, Todd Burley, Dale Planck, Jeff Kotary, Gus Schmidt, and many others. Many surprise entrants are also expected to show up for a tuneup for the annual Mothers Day Special featuring the Turning Stone Casino Resort DIRT 358-Modified Super DIRT Series and Sunoco Race Fuels Super DIRT Series for the DIRT Sportsman on May 11th.

The DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks, and Pure Stocks all look to continue their heated points battles of 2002 into the 2003 campaign. Jamie Christian and Jason Rood will return to defend their point titles of last season, while the Pure Stock title will be up for grabs in 2003.
