ADAMS AND REUTIMANN LEADS O'REILLY USCS POINT CHASES

FAYETTEVILLE, GA - Kenny Adams of Malabar, FL and Wayne Reutimann Jr. of Zephyrhills, FL top the O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series point charts heading into the next event on the asphalt at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, GA on Saturday night.

Adams leads the O'Reilly USCS National points, as well as the Carolina Thunder Tour, Southern Thunder Tour, and Mid-South Thunder Tour regional divisions point standings. Reutimann leads the O'Reilly USCS Asphalt Thunder Tour points.

The O'Reilly USCS is the only winged outlaw sprint car series that competes for national points on both dirt and asphalt short tracks.

After the first 37 races of the 2005 season, Adams leads Danny Martin Jr. of Sarasota, FL in the National point standings by 332 points. Adams, who won the 2000 O'Reilly USCS National Championship, has 13 wins this season with 32 top five finishes, and 34 top ten finishes. Martin has two wins this season, one on dirt and one on asphalt, with 20 top fives, and 26 top tens.

The defending and four-time O'Reilly USCS National Champion Terry Gray of Bartlett, TN is third in the National points, 171 points behind Martin. Injuries from a testing accident on May 27 dropped Gray from the point lead to eighth in the points after missing three races. Gray is staying in contention for the second spot, and has two wins this season with 26 top fives, and 33 top tens.

Bryn Gohn of Malabar, FL is fourth in the O'Reilly USCS National points, 53 points behind Gray, and also leads the Robison Racing Products Rookie of the Year point standings. The 19-year-old stepson of Adams has one win this season with three top fives, and 22 top tens.

Matt Tiffany of Daytona Beach, FL rounds out the top five in O'Reilly USCS National points, and second in RoY points. The 16-year-old driver is 262 points behind Gohn and has eight top fives, and 20 top tens in 36 starts.

Reutimann leads the O'Reilly USCS Asphalt Thunder Tour points by 12 over Gray. The third-generation driver has two wins this season with nine top fives, ten top tens, and two fast time awards in 11 pavement starts. Gray has seven top fives, and has finished in the top ten in all 11 Asphalt Thunder races this season.

Ryan Myers of Eldorado, OH is third the Asphalt Thunder point standings with seven top fives, ten top ten finishes, and two fast time awards. Myers is also eighth in the O'Reilly USCS Outlaw Thunder National point standings.

Adams is fourth in the asphalt points with two wins, eight top fives, and nine top tens. Martin rounds out the top five in the O'Reilly USCS Asphalt Thunder points with one win, five top fives, and eight top tens.

The Lanier National Speedway event this Saturday night will award both O'Reilly USCS National and Asphalt Thunder points.

Adams leads Gray by 22 points in the O'Reilly USCS Carolina Thunder Tour points. Adams has six wins in 12 events, with 11 top fives. Gray also has a win in Carolina Thunder Tour action along with 10 top five finishes.

Bruce Cline of Apex, NC is third in Carolina Thunder Tour points, 75 points behind Gray, and leads the Rookie of the Year points. Gohn is in the fourth spot with one Carolina Thunder win, and is just five points behind Cline. Chad Allum of Kannapolis, NC rounds out the top five in Carolina Thunder points. Allum is also ninth in the O'Reilly USCS National points.

The next O'Reilly USCS Carolina Thunder Tour event will be on September 10 at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, NC.

Teammates Adams and Gohn ride in the top two spots respectively in the O'Reilly USCS Southern Thunder Tour point standings. Adams has three wins in ten events with nine top five finishes. Gohn is 87 points behind his stepfather with one top five, and three top ten finishes. Gohn also leads the Rookie of the Year points in the Southern Thunder Tour.

Martin is third in Southern Thunder points with one win, six top fives, and seven top tens. Tiffany is in the fourth spot with one top five, and five top tens. R.J. Johnson of Decatur, TN is fifth in Southern Thunder points, and is also sixth in the O'Reilly USCS National points chase.

The next O'Reilly USCS Southern Thunder Tour event will be on October 21 at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL.

Adams leads Ricky Stenhouse Jr. of Olive Branch, MS by just nine points in the O'Reilly USCS Mid-South Thunder Tour point standings. Adams has two wins, eight top five finishes, and nine top ten efforts in nine starts. Stenhouse has three wins, and eight top fives. Mike Ward of Memphis, TN is third in Mid-South points with three wins, and is 25 points behind Stenhouse.

Martin sits in the fourth spot in Mid-South points, just one point behind Ward, with four top fives, and seven top tens. The 1999 O'Reilly USCS National Champion Marshall Skinner of West Memphis, AR rounds out the top five in Mid-South points with one win, four top fives, and six top tens. Skinner is only five points behind Martin.

The next O'Reilly USCS Mid-South Thunder Tour event will be on September 17 at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS.
