Tony Stewart Enters Two Cars in Oval Nationals!

(SEPTEMBER 10, 2004, PERRIS, CA) NASCAR Nextel Cup superstar Tony Stewart entered the first two cars for the 9th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals, presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply, at Perris Auto Speedway on October 28th, 29th and 30th. Jay Drake and Cory Kruseman will be in Stewart's cars for the three-day speed festival.

Drake, a 35-year old native of Val Verde, California, is the current USAC National Sprint Car Series point leader. Ventura's Kruseman, who will turn 34 on September 20th, is a lifelong friend of Drake's and is currently ranked third in USAC National Sprint Car points. Kruseman also happens to be the defending Oval Nationals Champion.

Other early entries include 1998 Oval Nationals Champion Rodney Argo of Gardena, multi-time PAS main event winner Troy Rutherford of Ojai, PAS Valvoline USAC/CRA main event winner Jason York of Chico, impressive first year 410 driver Greg Bragg of Visalia, Arizona star Eric Wilkins, Azusa police office Nadine Keller, Riverside teenager Darren Hagen and Valvoline USAC/CRA rookie "Rocket Ronnie" Case of Camarillo.

In addition to those early entries, Keller has entered a second car and Temple City's Anne Wilkerson has also entered a car. Drivers for both of those cars will be announced at a later date.
