Another first time winner hits victory lane at Trail-Way Speedway Friday night.

Brad McClelland claimed his first career victory in 358 competition. McClelland has seen victory lane numerous times in 250cc micro sprint competition.

The former track champ & current 358 point leader wasted little time getting to the front from his tenth starting spot. By lap 3 McClelland jumped to 5th and was trailing both Danny Dietrich & Dan Dietrich.

Neil Amspacher led the first 10 laps before making contact with a spinning Nate Hammaker, causing Amspacher to stop. By that time McClelland had wrestled the second spot from Dan Dietrich.

Once in front McClelland had total control holding off the challenges of the Dietrichs. Dan Dietrich held onto second with Billy Dietrich taking over 3rd from Danny Dietrich, Scott Tate was fifth. Completing the top-10 were Mike Bittinger, Rick Horn, Jon Keller,Brian Eichelberger, & Brian Allman.

Heats for the 30 cars went to Billy Deitrich, Tate, & Amspacher with Rusty Rupp winning the consolation.

In Thundercar action Ron Shultz held off the challenges of Craig Wagaman over the final 10 laps to claim his first win in 2003. Chad Myers was third, Nat Tuckey fourth & John McDonough fifth.

Heats for the 27 cars went to Randy Zechman, Bobby Rudisill, and McDonough with the consi to Mark Shorb.

In Street Stock action 2002 track champ Danny Beard picked up his first win in 2003 holding off Doug King over the final 7 laps. Third went to Sam Gallagher, fourth to Mike Kress and current point leader Mike Herman fifth.

Heats for the 24 cars went to Chris Holston, Ted Forsythe, and Gallagher with the consi to Ricky Howes.
