(10/31/2005 Olive Branch, MS) The SBS Motorsports Team and driver young fast Phenom Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. made a very strong showing at this year's 18th annual Short Track Nationals. The Fast Effects Removable Decals/Butler Professional Seating Systems/TMI Trailers 40R J&J powered by Dynotech made the "A" main each night and was the 2nd highest point man during Saturday nights finale. Stenhouse, Jr. finished 18th on the first night in the feature and rebounded to finish 11th during Friday's "A" main and used that momentum for a strong performance Saturday. SJr would draw #138 and start last in his heat but would use every inch of race track to finish third in a thrilling finish where he would slide across the line in a dual with Eric Schrock for 2nd. In the qualifier once again Stenhouse would start in the rear starting 8th and would climb through the field to finish a very strong 3rd. In the 40 lap feature Stenhouse would start 8th and shine. Stenhouse, Jr., battled past Shane Stewart for sixth by the 30th lap then on a very slick move took the fifth position from Wright on the lap 32 restart, holding the position the rest of the way.
"Man we needed another caution." said Stenhouse, Jr. "This was fun but I think with another caution we could have picked off some more cars. The car got better and better the slicker the track got. Once we got into the rubber I could run where ever I needed to at the time to pass a car. This is a great momentum builder for 2006. We have some very big plans that we will announce soon and this just gives me that much more confidence."
