FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (May 4, 2002) Following weeks of rain that either forced the postponement of races or total cancellation of the program that night, the St. Francois County Raceway finally got a break in the weather and took full-advantage of the situation to run four regularly scheduled feature races and three make-up features.
In the regular program events, Timmy Montgomery won the sprint feature with Joey Montgomery second, Tommy Worley Jr. third, Bob Thoman fourth and Jason Keith fifth. Heat races were won by Joey Montgomery, Timmy Montgomery and Jason Keith with Timmy Montgomery winning the dash. The Multi feature had a spectacular crash on the front straight with Robby Larson and Tyler Robbins being involved. Larson's car flipped two or three times in the air before crashing hard to the ground. Robbin's car also flipped in the accident. As of last note neither driver was seriously injured.
Brett Anderson was smooth and fast as he picked up the feature win with Tony Roney second, Dustin Barks third, Lance McKinney fourth and Tiffany Wyzard fifth. Anderson, Mark Gass and Barks won the heats while Tommy Boyd won the "B" main.
In the Modified class, Robert Powers picked up the win with Brent Thompson taking second, Tommy Worley Sr. third, Billy Smith fourth and Jeff Lebaube fifth. Thompson, Powers and Worley Sr. won the heats with Kenny Kennedy winning the "B" main.
In the Hobby Stock class, Chuck Adams continued to roll with another big feature win. Jeremy Greenwalt was second with Kenny Harris third, Kevin Mosier fourth and Billy Mayberry fifth. Adams and Kasey Nations won the heat races.
In the make-up features from April 13th, Tommy Worley Jr. won the sprint feature with teammate Bob Thoman second, Timmy Montgomery third, Jason Keith fourth and Joey Montgomery fifth.
In the Multi feature, Tony Roney picked up the victory with Dustin Barks second, Tommy Boyd third, Kent Buckley fourth and John "Wallbanger" Dennis fifth.
In the Modified feature, Billy Smith was the winner with Joe Giesler second, Danny Resinger third, Tim Hill fourth and Brent Thompson was fifth.
