TULSA, Okla. (June 6, 2006) -- With four different winners in as many events thus far in 2006, the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by Victor Reinz is set for its lone visit of the season to Rothbury, Michigan's Winston Motor Speedway this Friday night.

After Mike Brecht, Bryan Sebetto and Gregg Dalman each made trips to victory lane in the opening three events of the season, Ken Mackey of Manitom Beach, MI, moved atop the series point standings by wiring the field for his first Sprints on Dirt victory since July 6, 1991, this past Friday night at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, MI.

Mackey enters Friday's card at Winston Motor Speedway with a 20-point advantage over Canadian Kyle Patrick, with Lyons, MI, shoe Dalman just four more points back in third. Slipping from first to fourth in points after a "DNF" this past Friday night is Ohio shoe Mike Brecht, with former series champion Dain Naida tied with Gary Fast for fifth in points.

The balance of the current top ten in points includes defending series champion Tim Norman, who raced to SOD victory lane at Winston Motor Speedway in 2005, along with Joe Bares, Kevin Atkins and Davey Brown.

Friday's action atop the semi-banked, 3/8-mile Winston Motor Speedway clay oval is set to go green at 7:30 p.m.

Winston Motor Speedway is located in Rothbury, MI, five miles north of Whitehall on US 31 to the Winston Road exit, then 0.2 mile west. For more information, contact the track at 231-893-3023.

The 2006 Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by Victor Reinz slate consists of approximately 30 nights of racing at fourteen different tracks throughout Michigan, Ohio and Canada.

In its 15th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing in the United States, the American Sprint Car Series will present approximately 180 nights of racing at nearly 100 tracks throughout 27 different states and Canada in 2006 including the National Tour and its Regional Tours (Gulf South, Mid-South, Midwest, Northern Plains, Patriot Sprint Group, Rocky Mountain, Sooner, Southern and Sprints on Dirt).
