Mann & Dalman Continue ASCS SOD Point Battle at Winston

TULSA, Okla. (June 15, 2009) -- The race for the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP and the SOD Cup continues to be closely contested going into Friday night's event at the Winston Motor Speedway in Rothbury, Michigan.

Defending ASCS SOD champion Brett Mann holds a two point lead over Gregg Dalman while three time champion Tim Norman is only 20 points back from Mann and Dalman.

Friday's event at Winston will be the first of two appearances for the ASCS SOD series at the high banked 3/8-mile oval. Last year Mann picked up the victory on Labor Day Weekend in route to his first ASCS SOD championship.

After the Canadian portion of the tour Robert Huisken moved into fourth place in the point standings while Dustin Daggett occupies fifth spot with five victories during the 2009 season.

The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP is in its 30th season of competition. Twenty-two point paying races are on the calendar with three special non-point races making up the 25 event schedule contested throughout Michigan, Ohio, and into Canada.
