TULSA, Okla. (August 11, 2006)- Next Tuesday night, August 15, marks the first of five consecutive nights of explosive O'Reilly Sprint Bandits COMP Cams Tour 'N Topless racing action, featuring the super-charged excitement of 410-ci non-wing "Traditional" Sprint Cars.

The Second Annual Sprint Bandits TNT Midwest Swing will include events at four different tracks throughout Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri, with non-wing aces including defending TNT champion Levi Jones, Jon Stanbrough, Dave Darland, Dickie Gaines, Charles Davis, Jr., Brady Short, Bud Kaeding, Mat Neely, Jeremy Sherman, R.J. Johnson and current TNT point leader Cory Kruseman among those taking on winged stars going topless for the week such as Jesse Hockett, Travis Rilat, Larry Neighbors, Zach Chappell and Preston Peebles II among others.

In addition to the more than $85,000 up for grabs in the five feature events, another $7,350 will be doled out to the top five point earners over the handful of events with the champion taking away an extra $2,500. The runner-up will score an extra $1,500, with $1,250, $1,100 and $1,000 awarded to the third, fourth and fifth-ranked drivers, respectively.

Action kicks off with the Second Annual Huskerland Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car Nationals at Nebraska Raceway Park's I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE, on Tuesday night with an Open Wheel spectacular that also includes the ASCS Midwest Region as well as 305-ci Sprints. Levi Jones topped last year's inaugural edition of the event in a remarkable feature that included three and four-wide racing and slide jobs throughout.

On Wednesday night, the wingless warriors return to 81 Speedway in Wichita, KS, for the first time since 2001 when Mike Kirby topped the Walt McWhorter Memorial.

Round Three unfolds Thursday night, August 17, when the series introduces 410-ci wingless Sprint Car racing to the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks", Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. The event will be preceded by an autograph session from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with Mat Neely's Lucas Oil Products Sprint Car on display as well.

The five-night swing culminates with the annual two-night affair at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS, on Friday and Saturday, with the Saturday, August 19, winner of the Ron Shuman Classic pocketing a cool $10,000. California's Bud Kaeding is the reigning winner of the Lakeside Classic after also winning in 2002, while Jesse Hockett picked off back-to-back wins in 2003 and 2004.

While the Lakeside finale offers up a $10,000 winner's share, the events at I-80 Speedway, 81 Speedway and Lucas Oil Speedway each pay a handsome $4,000 to win.

Indiana's Brady Short kicked off the 2006 season with an O'Reilly Sprint Bandits COMP Cams Tour 'N Topless win at Tampa's East Bay Raceway Park on January 31, with Cory Kruseman topping the second East Bay prelim as well as the $10,000 to win finale.
