Currently, eight dates have already been inked onto the 2005 ASCS Southern Tour slate, with several more pending. Pending dates will be announced as they become firm. It is expected that the ASCS Southern Tour will consist of approximately 15 races in 2005.

Next Saturday night's opener at Laurens County Speedway is set to get under way at 8:00 p.m. Laurens County Speedway is located east of Laurens, SC, on US 76, then 0.6 miles southwest on SR 127, then 0.1 mile southeast on Racetrack Road. For more information, contact the track at 864-984-2427.

After the Laurens opener, the series moves on to Thunder Valley Speedway in Lawndale, NC, the following Friday night, April 29.

More than 20 drivers have already committed to run the entire Heintz Performance ASCS Southern Tour this year, with even more drivers showing a keen interest in the series.

In total, including the O'Reilly ASCS National Tour, the Heintz Performance ASCS Southern Tour and the Sooner, Gulf South, Rocky Mountain and Midwest Regions, the American Sprint Car Series will sanction nearly 120 nights of racing in 2005 at more than 50 different racetracks throughout at least 15 different states.
