Selinsgrove Speedway will present three-race opening weekend March 28-30.

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Weather permitting, Selinsgrove Speedway & Raceway Park will presentt a three-race opening weekend this Fri., March 28 through Sun., March 30.

Officials made significant progress with track preparations, and expect the facility to be race-ready for this weekend's 2003 season openers.

The weekend of racing begins Fri., March 28 with the first of five 410 sprint car races scheduled at the track this season as part of the Middleswarth Potato Chips Susquehanna Valley 410 Sprint Car Series.

The 410 sprint cars will compete in a 25-lap main event paying $2,500 to win. Joining the 410 sprint cars will be the pro stock division in a $300 to win event.

Racing begins at 8 p.m. on Fri., with track gates opening at 6 p.m.

The speedway will swing back into action on Sat., March 29 with the first race of the season for the 358 sprint cars, late models and roadrunners. The pro stocks will also compete on Sat. night, and a $300 bonus will be awarded if a driver can win both of the features this weekend.

Track gates on Sat. will open at 4 p.m., with the first race scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park, the one-fifth mile oval located inside of Selinsgrove's half-mile track, will conclude the busy weekend on Sun., March 30 with the season opener for go karts at 12 p.m. Gates will open at 9 a.m.
