Rauch Reels In ASCS Rocky Mountain Region Honors at I-76

FORT MORGAN, Colo. (July 7, 2007) -- The American Sprint Car Series invaded I-76 Speedway for the first time on Saturday night and it was former series champion Keith Rauch coming away with the victory in the track's 30-lap "Sprintacular".

Rauch assumed the point on the 27th lap when Albuquerque's Derrick Ortega surrendered the point with a cut left rear tire and paced the final four laps to record his fifth career ASCS Rocky Mountain Region feature win aboard Greg Schaefer's USA Race Engines-powered IMM No. 71 Fab-Tech.

Defending series champion Patrick Bourke, who paced the opening 13 laps before Ortega took command, settled for second, with Nick Haygood taking the show position. Current series point leader C.J. Johnson was fourth, with Dustin Hall rounding out the top five.

Chad Corken crossed the stripe sixth, with Bryan Gossel, Jace Pennetta, Greg Schaefer and J.D. Hall completing the top ten.
