ASCS Rocky Mountain Region Finale Nixed by Weather

TULSA, Okla. (September 22, 2006) -- With rain already falling and increasingly cold temperatures and snow in the forecast for the next 24 hours, Saturday night's scheduled season finale for the American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region at Wyoming's Gillette Thunder Speedway has been cancelled and will not be made up.

With the weather-induced cancellation, Patrick Bourke of Edwards, CO, has officially become the sixth different champion in as many year of ASCS Rocky Mountain Region competition, claiming this year's title with a 162 point lead over Denver's Jeff Heffner.
