Dan Deming Resigns as ASCS Patriot Technical Director

TULSA, Okla. (August 10, 2008)- Dan Deming Jr., who has served as ASCS Patriot Technical Director for the last two years, has decided to leave his post for the better interest of the series.

Deming has determined that his prior and future involvement with teams has created a conflict of interest that would affect the credibility of he and the series. Rather than furthering that belief, he has made the decision to step aside.

"We appreciate everything Dan has done over the last two years, helping to steer this series in the right direction," said Patriot Regional Director Mike Emhof. "We respect his decision to keep the integrity of the ASCS Patriot name in tact."

Deming began with the Patriots in the inaugural season as a driver. He won an event at Can-Am and was named the 2003 Rookie of the Year. After three seasons being a car owner and part-time driver, his technical wherewithal was sought for the 2007 season.

Over the years he has also built and maintained engines that have been used primarily away from the Patriot Series. This decision will also give those teams with Deming Power a chance to compete with the Patriots without conflict.

With Deming resigning, a temporary replacement has been arranged to perform technical inspection on the teams.
