NATIONAL PARTS PEDDLER TO SPONSOR ASCS PATRIOT HEAT RACES ONCE AGAIN IN 2008

Tulsa, Okla. (January 21, 2008) -- After a terrific year for the ASCS Patriots, which include a record number of competitors, race tracks visited and money paid out, the long list of series supporters are lining up to continue with their partnership.

For the third year in a row now, the National Parts Peddler Newspaper will sponsor the ASCS Patriots. Like last year, 2008 will see the Parts Peddler sponsoring the heat races for each of the approximately 20 full-point races.

The winner of each ASCS Patriot Heat Race in 2008 will receive $25 cash from National Parts Peddler, a bonus to help out those that win in what should shape up to be some very exciting heat races.

With the Patriots using the ASCS passing points system, winning a heat is already paramount. With cash on top as well, it will continue to make these 8-lap segments downright thrilling!

As in most categories, two-time defending champion Chuck Hebing led the ASCS Patriot Competitors in heat wins in 2007, with an astounding total of 11.

The ASCS Patriots have grown over the last six years with the help of sponsors like the National Parts Peddler, something that NPP Owner Corky Stockham has noticed with Sprint Car racing over the years.

"It's amazing to think back to 20 years ago, when modifieds were king around (the Northeast) and then realize what it has grown into today," noted Stockham. "I think it's important to keep it growing though."

For the last three years now, the ASCS Patriots have had a booth at the popular National Parts Peddler Trade Show and Auction in Syracuse, NY. Last November, this event, primarily based around modifieds, had plenty of Sprint Car feel to it.

"It was amazing to see the interest Sprint Cars now have in this area," added Stockham. "We realize that an organization like the ASCS Patriots is just as good as any other around here and it's important to work with them."

NPP Newspaper is based out of Cicero, NY, just north of Syracuse, an area that the Patriots will have even more of a presence in this season. Dave Wickham, one of the Patriot regulars from that area, will once again carry National Parts Peddler Signage on his No. 80 this year.

The National Parts Peddler Newspaper continues to lead the racing industry when it comes to finding necessary racing products in one convenient location. Trade papers are always available at ASCS Patriot Events, with additional information available at www.PartsPeddlerNews.net.

The 2008 ASCS Patriot Schedule is nearly completed and is expected to be released before the conclusion of January. For more information, please visit www.ASCSracing.com or www.ASCSpatriotsprints.com.
