Lance Dewease won round four of Pennsylvania Speedweek on thursday night at Lincoln Speedway. Fred Rahmer started fourth and immediately took the lead on the first lap. Rahmer pulled away from the field while polesitter Brian Gobrecht held off a swarm of cars to maintain second place. Gobrecht held second position for seven laps when the Pennsylvania Posse's best made their bid for the young driver's position. Both Don Kreitz and Lance Dewease passed Gobrecht on succesive laps placing him in fourth.

On the very next lap, Billy Pauch moved low on Brian Gobrecht making a clean pass on the inside. Meanwhile, Cris Eash found a fast lane on the high side passing Jeff Shepard then encountering Brian Gobrecht who was also running in the top groove. Eash hit the brakes too late and got into Brian Gobrecht ending Brian's night early.

The incident between Eash and Gobrecht brought out the only yellow of the race on lap nine. When the green replaced the yellow, it was back to our regularly scheduled Fast Freddie Rahmer program as Rahmer once again pulled away from the field.

At half distance, the track began to lose its low groove. With ten laps to go in the thirty lap feature, Dewease began to close on Rahmer in traffic.

Dewease passed Rahmer for the lead on lap 23 and a battled ensued that saw the lead change several times per lap. Dewease lead the last six laps of the race with Rahmer following in second when the checkered flag fell. Billy Pauch finished third and Don Kreitz finished fourth, holding off a late charge by Jeff Shepard and Kevin Gobrecht who finished fifth and sixth respectively.
