NEWBERRYTOWN, PA (June 6, 2006) -- With more than $100,000 in prize monies up for grabs in two days on Thursday, June 8 and Friday, June 9, the visit by the National Sprint Tour is by far the biggest event of the Susquehanna Speedway Park's 52 year history. It also marks the return of Bloomington, Indiana's Steve Kinser, the greatest name in Sprint Car racing, after a 15 year hiatus from SSP. Along with Kinser, many of the biggest names in Sprint Car racing nationally will be in competition for the two day event.

The National Sprint Tour point leader, Tim Kaeding of San Jose, CA, has won five of the firsteleven National Sprint Tour feature events. Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania natives, Lucas Wolfe and Brian Paulus are also regulars on the National Sprint Tour and will be gunning for the $5,000-to-win feature on Thursday and $12,000-to-win Friday night A-Main. At least 11 NST regulars including the 2002 NASCAR Winston Cup and 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion Tony Stewart-owned Sprint Car driven by Paul McMahan of Nashville, TN, will be in competition along with New Oxford's Stevie Smith and Harrisburg's Chad Layton. SSP's Young Guns, Blaine Heimbach from Bloomsburg and Denver's Alan Krimes have also committed to running both nights of competition. Many other drivers from Pennsylvania and other parts of the United States will race on at least one of the two nights.

General admission main grandstand tickets will be $30.00 each for each night of racing. Advance tickets may be purchased by calling 717-292-1696. There will be no advance ticket sales on the day of the event (ends at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7). There will also be a limit of 400 children tickets (ages 6-12) available for $12.00 each. Children ages 5 and under will be admitted free. Visa and Mastercard are accepted for the ticket purchase in advance and on raceday.

All seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis with the exception of the annual reserved seats. All advance ticket purchasers will be permitted to enter the grandstands one hour (4:00 p.m.) prior to the sale of grandstand tickets on raceday (4:30 p.m.) in order to pick their seats. Cooler size limits will be strictly enforced. There is no repeat fan discount for this event. The Repeat Fan Discount will resume Thursday, June 15 with a $5.00 discount for the DIRT Big Block Modified event.

On Thursday and Friday, June 8 & 9, the back pit gate will open at 3:00 p.m. with the grandstand gate opening for advance ticket purchasers at 4:00 p.m. The day of the event ticket sales will begin at 4:30 p.m. Warmups begin at 6:00 p.m. with qualifying at 6:30 p.m. Racing action will begin at 7:30 p.m. Raindates will be announced for all events if needed.

The Susquehanna Speedway Park is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles NW on SR382 to York Road, then 1.3 miles south.
