Stewart / McMahan Team joins National Sprint Tour for 2006
The National Sprint Tour is proud to announce that Paul McMahan, driving the Tony Stewart Bass Pro Shops sprint car is on board for the 2006 NST season. The addition of this exciting veteran driver and the Bass Pro Shops team will increase the excitement that can be expected at National Sprint Tour races throughout the 2006 season.
"I'm glad we finally have a direction on where we're going racing next year," said the Nashville, TN based driver. "Fred's a racing promoter. He's there to make it good for the fans but he also takes into consideration the teams that are there. I've known Fred for a long time. I've raced with him, and now that he's on the other side no matter where we have gone that he has promoted he's taken care of the racers. He comes around and thanks you every night for coming and we appreciate that, and we thank him for having us. That's important because if he's taking care of the racers, he's taking care of the fans also, and that's what keeps them coming back."
"I'm just so excited to be racing for Tony Stewart and the Bass Pro-Shop #20. It will have the same crew that Tony had in 2005 and I just wish it was February and time to go."
