NATIONAL SPRINT TOUR TO MAKE STOPS AT SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY IN 2006
Moving yet another name from the tentative to the confirmed schedule, the National Sprint Tour has reached an agreement with Selinsgrove Speedway for two dates in 2006. The historic half-mile oval, located near Selinsgrove, PA, will host the new National Sprint Tour on Sunday, June 11 and Saturday, August 5 as some of the world's best 410 sprint car drivers take to the semi-banked dirt oval.
Promoter Charles Paige commented, "We're excited to be hosting these high-profile sprint car races, and bringing the National Sprint Tour to Selinsgrove will be a great opportunity to showcase some of the best in dirt track racing."
Pennsylvanians Tim Shaffer, from Aliquippa, and Mechanicsburg based drivers Brian Paulus and Lucas Wolfe will be among the contingent of 410 Sprint car drivers visiting the speedway. Wolfe won Selinsgrove Speedway's National Open last September.
Selinsgrove Speedway is considered to be one of the fastest dirt tracks in the country, and with the renovations to the speedway in recent years fans and racers alike can look forward to two nights of great racing action.
