O'Reilly ASCS National Tour Schedule Adjustments

TULSA, Okla. (May 2, 2006) -- With the opening eight feature events of the season in the books for the O'Reilly American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the schedule has been bolstered by the addition of an event along with a pair of adjustments.

The Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, MO, will host the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour on Monday night, July 3. It will mark the ASCS National Tour's first stop at the historic half-mile fairgrounds oval since September 2003.

Additional dates are in the works to make for a full Fourth of July weekend of racing.

Also, the series is now set to take to the high-banked, 3/8-mile Dacotah Speedway clay oval in Mandan, ND, on Thursday and Friday, June 8 and 9. The two-night stand in Mandan replaces the dates originally slated for Minot, ND.

Next up for the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour is a pair of events in Virginia, with Wytheville Raceway in Wythe, VA, on tap for Friday night, May 26, before moving on to Saluda's Virginia Motor Speedway on Saturday night, May 27.

In its 15th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing in the United States, the American Sprint Car Series will present approximately 180 nights of racing in 2006 including the National Tour and its Regional Tours (Gulf South, Mid-South, Midwest, Northern Plains, Patriot Sprint Group, Rocky Mountain, Sooner, Southern and Sprints on Dirt).
