ASCS Midwest Region Races to US 36 Raceway
TULSA, Okla. (June 19, 2006) -- The American Sprint Car Series Midwest Region is ready to tackle the ultra-fast high-banks of U.S. 36 Raceway's 3/8-mile clay oval in Cameron, MO, this Friday night.
With four events already in the books this season, Brian Brown has scored a pair of ASCS Midwest Region wins with Jake Peters and Jason Johnson also notching one win apiece.
Friday's card at U.S. 36 Raceway, the first of two ASCS Midwest Region events scheduled for the Cameron, MO, oval in 2006, will feature a stout field of entries including Chad Humston, Jason Danley, Luke Cranston, 16-year-old Jack Dover, Seth Brahmer, Rick Ideus and 2005 ASCS Midwest Region points runner-up Toby Chapman.
Last year, Iowa's Johnny Anderson scored his first career ASCS win by topping the Midwest Region debut at U.S. 36 Raceway.
Friday's action is set to get under way at 8:00 p.m.
U.S. 36 Raceway is located 30 miles northeast of Kansas City on I-35 to Exit 54, then 6.3 miles west on US 36, then 0.1 mile north on SR 33, then east. For more information, contact the track at 816-675-2279.
The 2006 ASCS Midwest Region slate consists of thirteen events at eight different events throughout Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa and Missouri.
In its 15th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing in the United States, the American Sprint Car Series will present approximately 180 nights of racing at nearly 100 tracks throughout 27 different states and Canada in 2006 including the National Tour and its Regional Tours (Gulf South, Mid-South, Midwest, Northern Plains, Patriot Sprint Group, Rocky Mountain, Sooner, Southern and Sprints on Dirt).
