ASCS Mid-South Reschedules Poplar Bluff Event

TULSA, Okla. (June 2, 2006) -- The American Sprint Car Series Mid-South Region event scheduled for Saturday night, August 12, at Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, MO, has been rescheduled so as not to conflict with the Knoxville Nationals.

The event has been reset for Saturday night, October 21, with the ASCS Mid-South Region champion to be determined that night in the series season finale.

It will also mark the series second stop at Poplar Bluff Speedway, with the series also taking to the high-banked, 3/8-mile red clay oval on September 9.

In its 15th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing in the United States, the American Sprint Car Series will present approximately 180 nights of racing in 2006 including the National Tour and its Regional Tours (Gulf South, Mid-South, Midwest, Northern Plains, Patriot Sprint Group, Rocky Mountain, Sooner, Southern and Sprints on Dirt).
