ASCS Mid-Atlantic Scheduling In Progress

TULSA, Okla. (October 19, 2006) -- The inaugural schedule for the all-new American Sprint Car Series Mid-Atlantic Region, based in the central Pennsylvania area, is already well in the works.

It is expected that the 2007 slate for the ASCS Mid-Atlantic Region will consists of approximately 15-20 events, each carrying a $1,500 winner's share

When the ASCS Mid-Atlantic Region is idle, Susquehanna Speedway Park will host unsanctioned events on selected Sunday nights for a $1,200 winner's share.

The addition of the Mid-Atlantic Region brings the number of ASCS regions to eleven, plus the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour. The Mid-Atlantic Region joins the existing Sooner, Gulf South, Rocky Mountain, Midwest, Southern, Northern Plains, Mid-South, Sprints on Dirt and Patriot Sprint Group, as well as the recently announced Coastal Region.

In 2007, the ASCS will sanction more than 225 nights of racing.
