Torrential rain washes out Lincoln racing program

Abbottstown, PA, 6/7/03 - Torrential rains swept though Central Pennsylvania Saturday morning and showed no signs of stopping, forcing Lincoln Speedway promoters Don & Bob Leiby, along with Alan Kreitzer, to cancel Saturday evening's June 7th racing program. The rain-out raised Mother Nature's win count at the Pigeon Hill's oval in 2003 to five.

The special 358 Sprint wingless show that was scheduled for tonight has been TENTATIVELY rescheduled to Saturday, July 19th in conjunction with the Daryl Gohn/Glenn Gohn Sr. Memorial. This will allow the 358 sprinters the opportunity to practice without top wings in there previous scheduled appearance at Lincoln on Saturday, July 5th.

Also, Manheim Auto Auction Night, which was scheduled for tonight will be rescheduled to a future date.

Next Saturday night, June 14th, the United Racing Club Series (URC) will visit Lincoln Speedway for there lone appearance at the Pigeon Hills oval in 2003. Joining them will be the Cindy Rowe Paintless Dent Removal 410 Sprints and Thundercars/

Gates will open at 5:30 PM, with warm-ups at 7 PM, and the first heat taking the green at 7:30 PM.
