ABBOTTSTOWN, PA, 6/16/01 - Mother Nature scored a decisive win Saturday, June 16th to increase her win mark to three for the year at Lincoln Speedway. Heavy rains, which began in the early aftternoon and persisted through much of the day, forced Lincoln Speedway promoters Don & Bob Leiby, along with Alan Kreitzer, to cancel Saturday evening's super sprint, URC Sprint Series, & thundercar racing program.

Next Saturday night, June 23rd, Lincoln Speedway will host the opening night of action for the 11th Annual Pennsylvania Speedweek Series. The night will also carry an extra special meaning as it will honor a fallen competitor with the Second Annual Kevin Gobrecht Memorial. The super sprinters will be going after $5,000 to win in the 30 lap affair. The Miller Brothers Chevrolet Thundercars will round out the evenings' racing action. Gates will open at 5:30 PM, with hotlaps at 7 PM and the time trials getting underway at 7:30 PM.
