MSS Falls to Foul Weather at Kopellah

Despite the best efforts of officials, teams, and track management, the Midwest Sprintcar Series event last Friday night at the Kopellah Speedway was rained out following the heat races. There were 15 MSS sprint cars in the pits, and the two heat races were won by Ehren Layton of St. Louis Park, MN and Travis Whitney of Fridley, MN. The race will not be rescheduled.

The next stop on the MSS schedule is tentatively set for Sunday, September 2nd at the Kopellah Speedway, but stay tuned for further details as this race is very tentative. The series then rounds out the 2001 season at the Fox Ridge Speedway in Arcadia, WI on Saturday September 8th.
