O'Reilly ASCS National Tour at I-80 Next Wednesday

TULSA, Okla. (July 27, 2005) -- A busy month of racing kicks off next Wednesday night as the O'Reilly American Sprint Car Series National Tour presented by Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores takes to Nebraska Raceway Park's I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE, on August 3.

The event, also a points race for the ASCS Midwest Region, will serve as a final tune-up for a number of teams en route to Iowa's Knoxville Raceway for the 360 Nationals on Thursday and Friday, August 4 and 5, and the Brodix Tournament of Champions on Saturday and Sunday, August 6 and 7.

Defending O'Reilly ASCS National Champion Gary Wright of Hooks, TX, leads the national forces into Wednesday's I-80 Speedway go, with other top National Tour contenders including Darren Stewart, Travis Rilat, Zach Chappell, Toby Brown, Sam Hafertepe, Jr., and Brodix Rookie of the Year contenders Tony Bruce, Jr., and Jake Martens.

Brian Brown leads the ASCS Midwest Region reps into the event, with other top Regional shoes including Billy Alley, Don Droud, Jr., Toby Chapman, Rick Ideus, Jason Danley, Jason Martin, Mike Chadd, Jake Peters and Frankie Heimbaugh.

Oregon's Roger Crockett will be among others expected to stop off along the way to Knoxville.

Wednesday's racing action at Nebraska Raceway Park's I-80 Speedway is slated to get under way at 7:15 p.m. The track is located between Lincoln and Omaha off I-80 Exit 420. For more information, contact the track at 402-342-3453.

The O'Reilly American Sprint Car Series National Tour presented by Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores will present approximately 40 nights of racing in 2005 at 20 different tracks throughout Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
