Dale Earnhardt, Jr., driver of the #8 Budweiser Chevrolet, Kenny Wallace, who drives the Eel Racing #27 Pontiac and Kenny Schrader, driver of the #36 M&M’ s Pontiac, will all be signing autographs before the racing program. St. Louis native Kenny Wallace and Fenton, MO’s Kenny Schrader will also be racing UMP Late Models around the 1/3 mile high banked I-55 Raceway. There are currently no plans for Earnhardt to be racing on this night.
Fans can also register in a raffle to win a ride with Ken Schrader in a two-seat winged sprint car. The specially built two-seat sprint car has a second seat directly behind the driver’s seat for a passenger. The winner will get to ride for five laps around I-55 Raceway during intermission. All proceeds from the raffle will go to charity. Another ride in the two-seat sprint car is being auctioned off by WIL 92.3FM to benefit a local charity.
The grandstand gates will open at 5:00pm and the three drivers will be signing autographs from 5:30pm till 7:00pm. In order to keep the lines moving and to let as many people as possible get autographs, each person in line may have each driver only autograph one item.
General admission tickets will be $16 and pit passes are $25. As always at I-55 Raceway, kids 12 and under will be admitted FREE into the grandstands. There are NO reserved or advanced ticket sales for this event. All tickets will be sold at the gate beginning at 5:00pm.
Many of the top UMP Late Model drivers from the Midwest will be on hand, including defending UMP National Champion Ed Dixon, Kevin Gundaker, Mark Oller and of course Kenny Schrader and Kenny Wallace. The UMP Late Models will be competing for a $2000 top prize.
Also on the lineup will be the Winged Sprint cars. They are also competing for a top prize of $2000. Last year, over 35 sprint cars competed in this event.
